What Makes This Montessori

Being a former Montessori classroom teacher, I wanted to create a PE curriculum that felt more authentic to our Montessori classroom curriculum. Reinventing the wheel was not the answer. However, integrating concepts and lessons from the classroom (like the Great Lessons) with easy-to-learn physical games that practiced fine and gross motor movement became my passion. These lessons are Montessori because they integrate with concepts directly from the Montessori classroom.

The hands are the instruments of man’s intelligence. What the hand does the mind remembers.
— Dr. Maria Montessori

What We Do

Since 2015, we have created, tested, and implemented Montessori physical education lessons. These lessons have successfully been used by Montessori classroom teachers as well as physical education teachers from around the world.

OUR MISSION

Effective physical education engages the students, teaches them valuable gross and fine motor skills, and is fun. By integrating concepts from the Montessori classroom curriculum, kinesthetic learners meet their needs for learning while other students get more exposure, increasing retention for every type of learner. In addition, by integrating PE with the classroom, the students have a seamless educational experience that makes them more fit, athletic, and healthy.
